Jeff Pauley is a highly respected expert in fire service health and safety, serving as a senior partner and Fire Group manager at Pacific Pointe Consulting, Inc. Fire Group in Summerfield, NC. With over two decades of experience in law enforcement and fire services, including roles as a fire investigator, deputy fire marshal, and battalion chief, Jeff now focuses on consulting, training, and policy development related to the fire and post-fire environment. His advocacy for occupational health and safety was sparked by the loss of his mentor to occupational cancer, leading him to become a key figure in various health and safety initiatives.

Contributions, Certifications, and Education

Jeff holds numerous certifications and degrees, including the IAAI’s certified fire investigator designation and a master’s in occupational safety and health. He has been actively involved in multiple fire service health and safety research projects, including revisions to the NFPA 921 Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations and the Firefighter Cancer Support Network’s updated report. Jeff is also the creator of the Fire Investigation Safety Officer course and continues to contribute to fire service health and safety through his work on advisory boards in various national and federally funded studies.
